Gobble Gobble Crafts on Wednesday, November 21, from 12:00 until 4:00 p.m at the Busch Branch Library. We’re thankful for crafts! Stop by to make a few with a Thanksgiving
theme. No registration is required for this drop-in program. For more

On Saturday, December 15, at 2:00pm the annual laying of wreaths on the graves of veterans will take place at Union Cemetery. There are 21 identified veterans’ graves including 11 Civil War veterans. The wreaths will be placed by local scouts as the names of the veterans are read. Please join us for this event honoring those who fought to keep our country free.

On Saturday, November 10, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., the Warren Civic Center Library will host the free program, “Teen Spot.” No registration is required for this drop-in program. Teens only. This is a parent-free event. This program will be in the Conference Room.

On Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 6:30 p.m., the Warren Civic Center Library will host the free program, “Creepy Carrots Storytime.” by Aaron Reynolds, followed by a craft. Call 586-751-0770 to register. Ages 3-8.

On Friday, November 9, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., the Warren Civic Center Library will host the free program, “Family Fort Building Night.” Visit the library in your jammies and get ready to relax and read in forts made around the library. Bring your own special blanket or stuffed animal if you wish. Call 586-751-0770 to register. Children of all ages are welcome. Doors will
be open until 6:30 p.m.

Play and learn Groups. From  Leaps & Bounds Family Services. Held every Tuesday at the Kennedy Early Childhood Center, 11333 Kaltz, Warren 48089. From April 10, 2018 to November 12, 2018 11 am - 12:30. These free groups help young children learn their colors and numbers through play. Art activities and music and movement are all designed to help children learn while providing ideas and supports to parents and caregivers.   • Southeast Michigan Chapter of Wild Ones
    The S.E.   • Warren Kiwanis Aktion Club
    Come and join us on the second and last Wednesday of the month; 6- 7 p.m., in Conference Room B (upstairs) in the Warren Community Center (5460 Arden). Aktion Club is a group of mentally or physically impaired young adults (18 years and older) and their caregivers who would like to give back to their community through helping others.   • FREE Community Supper the First Wednesday of Every Month
    FREE supper is open to everyone and will include main entree, salad dessert and beverage. If you need to stretch your budget, want an evening of fellowship or simply don't feel like cooking, come join us the first Wednesday of every month. The dinners go from 4:30- 6:30 p.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 31654 Mound Rd., Warren, MI.
  • Great Lakes Caring: Compassionate Volunteers Needed!
    Volunteer opportunities with Great Lakes Caring Hospice include: providing companionship to hospice patients; offering pet hterapy (pet training required); assisting with clerical work in our office; sharing your talents (such as music, art, and crafts); providing bereavement or vigil support for patients' families; attending and helping with our Tea to Remember events; interviewing and recording patients with our Life Stories program; and more! We offer: placement in your area; local training; flexible scheduling; opportunities to anyone 17 years of age or older.   • Check Out New Volunteer Opportunities on the "Frontline"
    The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program invites seniors age 55 and older to "just do it"- make the call that can get you connected and change your life. If you have just a few hours a month, you can make life better right where you live. Change young lives by tutoring ormentoring students; help local nonprofit agencies; work in a community garden; get onboard as a hospital volunteer; or help a neighbor to continue to live independently with handyman skills.   • Foster and Adoptive Families Needed
    Methodist Children's Home Society is recruiting foster homes within Macomb County so children who reside in that area can continue to reside there and within the school district once they are placed within foster care.
