• The Warren Community Chorus Welcomes New and Present Members to Rehearsals
  Starting Monday, September 19 at 7:30 p.m. Rehearsals will be at the First United Methodist Church, 5005 Chicago Road, Warren, between Ryan and Mound, south of 14 Mile. • The Village Commission
  The Village Commission meets the first Thursday of the month at the Old Village Hall at Beebe and Flynn St. at 7pm. The commission is looking for members. If you are interested, call the Mayor's office for a form at (586) 574-4520.

  The S.E. Michigan chapter of 'Wild Ones' meets the third Wednesday of each month in conference room 'B' room, 504 upstairs at the Community Center at 7 p.m. We are advocates of native plants, habitat restoration and green ecology. • Warren Kiwanis Aktion Club
  Come and join us on the second and last Wednesday of the month; 6-7 p.m., in Conference Room B (upstairs) in the Warren Community Center (5460 Arden). Aktion Club is a group of mentally or physical impaired young adults (18 years and older) and their caregivers who would like to give back to their community through helping others. • Mayor Fouts' Student Advisory Committee's T-Shirt Fundraiser & Used Book Drive
  This year, the Mayor's Student Advisory Committee is selling LIVESTRONG t-shirts and bracelets to raise money for the LIVESTRONG foundation. If you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt, please complete the order form (linked above) and return as soon as possible.
  The Used Book Drive is accepting new and gently used books, CD's & VHS tapes for all ages from March 1-May 1. Drop boxes are located outside the Mayor's Office- second floor of City Hall, and at Cousino High School. Books will be sold at Warren's Greatest Garage Sale May 27 & 28. all proceeds will go to the LIVESTRONG Foundation. • Macomb Fresh Spring Fundraiser
  Macomb Fresh, a program of Hope Center in Macomb, is having a spring fundraiser. The need for locally grown fresh vegetables continues to increase across Macomb county. Macomb Fresh, a program of Hope Center in Macomb, intends to help meet that need by establishing school-located community gardens. the intent is not only fo reducational purposes but also to provide fresh produce for the school lunch program and for the surrounding community. The Growums fundraiser will help to raise funds for the school-located community gardens. Growums provides a fun and educational project for the whole family. By participating in the fundraiser, you get a garden kit with easy to follow directions. There is free registration at www.growums.com. The Growums garden kits are only $10.   Warren Parks & Rec 2012 Senior Stilwell Dinner Dances

  Creating Confident Caregivers
  If you are caring for someone with Alzheimer's, dementia or memory loss you are invited to attend a series of workshops. This program is offered through a collaboration with the Area Agency on Aging 1-B and the Alzheimer's Association. The classes are on the above dates and go from 10 a.m. until noon.   Festival of the Arts- Warren Consolidated School
  From May 9-23, Warren Consolidated Schools will be sponsoring their annual 'Festival of the Arts' at the Warren Community Center. The show is open to the public for viewing. The sho features selected two and three-dimensional artwork, created by students in preschool through 12th grade. The award ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. on May 9. Judges from the Warren Educational Foundation will select 'Best of Show' pieces in the elementary, middle and high school categories. This year's event will include entertainment by the Cousino High School Jazz Band, 'make and take' art stations for children, special raffle prizes and refreshments. Join our knowlegeable Resource Advocates for presentations on social security, veterans benefits, Medicare parts A, B & D, Medicare Advantage and Low Income Subsidy (LIS). We are here to help you understand services available and make informed decisions. Newly disabled individuals placed on Medicare may also attend.   Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers 18th Annual Bowl-O-Rama
  Interfaith Volunteer Caregivers is based in Warren and holding this event at Imperial Lanes (44650 Garfield) on Friday May 18. Check-in starts at 6:30 p.m. and bowling starts at 7 p.m. The event includes 3 games, shoes, pizza and pop! Adults are $25 and youth 18 & under are $15. Pledges and donations welcome. Collect $!00 or more in pledges and bowl free- and get a souvenir t-shirt! No-tap format (9 pins= strike), bumper bowling available, no bowling experience needed.   Tour de Warren Bicycle Ride Hosted by Local Bike Shop
  Macomb Bike and Fitness will host their inaugural Tour de Warren bicycle ride on Sunday, May 20. The ride will pass by the city's many parks and historic sites and will also stop at City Hall and the Warren Community Center. Participants may choose a 10 or 25 mile route beginning and ending at Macomb Bike and fitness. Registration is available in person at the store or online at active.com.   Mott Band Club to Hold Annual Jazz Night
  The Warren Mott Band Club will put on its 10th annual Jazz Night on June 1, featuring live musical entertainment, a catered dinner and dancing with a Bourbon Street theme. The event will feature six jazz bands, including the Marauder Big Band, Jazz Combo and Adult Jazz Band. Pre-sale tickets are $15, or $11 for Mott students. Tickets must be ordered by May 24.   The Hot Rod Power Tour in Warren
  The Hot Rod Power Tour will be in Warren on June 2 and 3. On the 3 at 9 a.m., 1,000 cars will be leaving City Square on their way to their next destination. The police will be closing off Van Dyke for about 30 minutes to help get the cars on their way.

  Choose Life Health Fair
  There will be free screenings of blood pressure, body mass index, weight, health age, blood sugar (four hour fasting recommended) and more.   Warren Historical Society Antiques Aprpraisal Fair and Bake Sale
  Saturday, June 9 at the Warren Community Center Cafeteria (5460 Arden), enter at East end of Main Parking Lot- near football field. Bake sale begins at 9 a.m. Antique appraisals from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. On-site appraisals are $5 per item, maximum 6 items per person. Only items that can be carried or photos of large items such as furniture. No stamps, coins or guns please. All proceeds to the Warren Historical and Genalogical Society.

  Dachshund Fun Race and Costume Contest
  This event is for only Dachshunds and is open to the public. Entry fee is $10 per family and entries will be taken at Shaw Park from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. All Dachshunds will race in age appropriate groups. Our costume contest has five categories: Most Creative, Best Homemade, Best Girl, Best Boy and Best Dressed Couple. We will be awarding ribbons and prizes at this event.
