12 Mile Road Intersection Closure: May 31 – June 21

The 12 Mile Road intersection at Mound Road is scheduled to close Wednesday, May 31, and will remain closed until June 21 to reconstruct the outside lanes and approach of the intersection. During this closure, EB and WB 12 Mile Road traffic will not be permitted to access Mound Road. Proposed detour route:

EB 12 Mile Road detour – EB 12 Mile Road to NB Ryan Road to EB 13 Mile Road
WB 12 Mile Road detour – WB 12 Mile Road to utilize NB Van Dyke Ave to WB Chicago and 13 Mile Road

AND

14 Mile Road in Sterling Heights and Warren
Location: Hayes Road to Hoover Road
Traffic: The road will remain open to through traffic with one lane open in each direction during construction operations. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to seek alternate routes when possible.
Duration: May 1, 2023 – October 2023
Description: Mill, base repair, and asphalt overlay.
