  National Gun Violence Awareness Day - June 2, 2023

Please see attached from Warren Mayor Jim Fouts. Mayor Fouts issued the attached Proclamation designating June 2, 2023 Gun Violence Awareness Day in the city of Warren and Warren City Hall will be lit up in orange on Sat. June 3rd from dusk until dawn on Sun. June 4th. Many lives have been cut short by gun violence. Gun violence has affected families, friends, colleagues, and loved ones. Mayor Fouts supports the continued efforts to strengthen gun safety and laws and educate the community on safe gun storage. There are many community organizations that assist families that have been impacted by gun violence. Mayor Fouts encourages all citizens, government agencies, private businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other groups to work collaboratively to reduce gun violence.
