Message from Mayor Fouts: Tornado watch issued for the Warren area from 11 AM until 4 PM. Severe storms and large hail. DPW and other public service departments will be prepared for a rough storm. Wireless alerts will show up on your cell phones whenever an additional alert is necessary. Both Macomb County IPAWS alert and Warren’s own system will also be in service. So, we will have two notification systems working to complement one another. The city of Warren has its own stand-alone Outdoor System Sirens through the Warren Police Department. The Emergency Manager will determine the action to be undertaken. The sun currently in the area may help to energize the storm don’t be fooled by the sun!
