ORDINANCE TO CLEAN UP WARREN HOTELS AND MOTELS

Cleaning up blighted Hotels & Motels with city inspections!

My administration’s proposed ordinance at tonight’s council meeting will effectively curb the problems created by sleazy motels and hotels in Warren.

This ordinance will help put an end to drugs and human trafficking, bedbugs, cockroaches, transient residents, poor maintenance, and lack of security in the establishments. It would mean that out-of- town people visiting Warren could expect quality comfortable and safe places to stay.

All too often I have received complaints from out-of-town visitors about unkempt and unclean conditions in some of our hotels and motels. With city inspection this will be eliminated!

Currently, our existing ordinances do not allow inspection of these properties.

This will give out-of-town relatives of Warren residents and businesses like GM a quality place for their visitors to stay.

Thus, a new clean and safe image for Warren!
