WARREN POLICE PRESS RELEASE
Warren officer fighting for life after off-duty accident – Family seeks community support
Last weekend, one of our Warren PD family members, Officer Nick Kott, was doing what he loved most: hunting with his family. A sudden, devastating fall left him critically injured and unable to call for help for several hours. Ultimately, Nick was located by family and transported to Midland Hospital. Due to the severity of his injuries, Nick was then airlifted to The University of Michigan Hospital (Ann Arbor). Nick is currently in critical condition, in the Neurological-ICU unit, on a ventilator, with no feeling from the neck down. Nick is now fighting for his life in the Intensive Care Unit. His wife, Holli, and their 7-year-old son, are by his side as they work to cope with this unimaginable and sudden tragedy. Family members have started a GoFundMe account to help Nick’s family in their time of need.
