Lead Hazard Control Program – Landlords

Many Warren homes contain lead hazards that put children at risk. The City of Warren provides grants for 90% of the repairs needed to ensure eligible rentals are lead-safe.

If your rental(s) meets all the requirements listed below, you may qualify for the City’s program.

Location: Properties to be repaired must be in the City of Warren (can be tenant-occupied or vacant).

Age of Home: The house must have been built before 1978 and have lead-based paint hazards.

Income: The property must be occupied by or made available to families with income at or below 80% of the area median income (limits below). Property owners must pledge to make these units available to households of low- to moderate-income for no fewer than the next 3 years.
