Due to flooding, the pool at the Warren Community Center will be closed until further notice. The remainder of the community center is open.
Damaged Gas Pipeline Update
Message from Consumers Energy: Yesterday morning, Wednesday, April 27th, damage occurred to one of Consumers Energy’s gas pipelines at Ryan Rd. and Capital Ave. (just north of 9 Mile Road). The damage caused odorized gas to blow from the pipes. The contractor on site called 911 immediately. Police, Fire, and Consumers Energy crews responded immediately and had the gas blowing shut down in under 2 hours.
Due to this gas blowing, Ryan Road was shut down during that 2-hour period for public safety purposes. Crews remained on the scene to restore the pipe and the gas service.
