Red Run Drain – 2022 Invasive Species Control
There will be an invasive plant treatment along the Red Run Drain and surrounding areas. It is scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2022. The target species for this round of spraying will be Japanese Hops, Phragmites, Reed Canary Grass, and Teasel. Most plants will be foliar sprayed with Glyphosate 5.4, and a Cygnet Plus surfactant through a small stretch of Japanese Hops at the North East end of the drain will be treated with Triclopyr. A blue dye (PLM Blue) will be added to the tank mix to mark the treated plants. Bright yellow signs will also be placed just outside of the treatment area boundaries to notify the public of any usage restrictions.
