Spray Date for Gypsy Moth Wednesday, May 19, 2021
We have been monitoring daily for caterpillar size and Oak leaf development to determine the optimum spray day.
Based on our observations, Spray day will occur on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 beginning at approximately 6 AM. If weather conditions change the backup date will be Thursday, May 20, 2021. These small aircraft will be flying just above the treetops to insure the application lands on the leaves in the spray block(s). MSUE staff will be in various spray blocks to observe spray patterns.
We will have staff monitoring the Gypsy Moth Helpline beginning at 7AM on spray day. If you need assistance with resident calls, please have them call the Gypsy Moth HelpLine at 586-469-6432.
