Due to flooding, the pool at the Warren Community Center will be closed until further notice. The remainder of the community center is open.

Warren Mayor Jim Fouts will attend a special tree planting ceremony today honoring Ronald Thomas Smith II, an American chemistry teacher and 1997 graduate of Warren Woods Tower High School. Smith was shot to death December 5, 2013 while jogging in Benghazi, Libya.
The tree-planting ceremony will be held today at 1:30 p.m. at the Bunert Schoolhouse, a national historic site, located next to Warren Woods Tower High School at Martin Rd. (11 ½ Mile Rd.).
The Smith family will also be in attendance. The tree is paid for by the high school’s National Honor Society.
