Warren Mayor Jim Fouts Opens 3 City Facilities For Relief From Heat Wave
Warren, MI – Warren Mayor Jim Fouts is opening the airconditioned Fitzgerald Recreation Center, the Owen Jax Recreation Center and the Warren Community Center during the heat wave for Warren residents without home air conditioning. The Fitzgerald Center is located on 9 Mile east of Ryan, the Owen Jax Center in located on 9 Mile east of Van Dyke, and the Warren Community Center is located on Arden, south of 14 Mile and west of Mound.
Times are 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20 at the three locations. Free bottled water will be available. “The heat can affect the health of people, especially senior citizens,” said Fouts.
