Warren Mayor Jim Fouts Returns To Work After Injury From Fall While Jogging

Full Press Release

Warren Mayor Jim Fouts will return to work Thursday after an overnight stay Tuesday at Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital. He was released from the hospital Wednesday afternoon.

Fouts, an avid jogger since high school, was injured after falling while jogging about 7 Tuesday morning.

Because Fouts had mild bleeding in his brain from the fall, he spent Tuesday night at the hospital for observation and required nine stitches to his forehead.

Fouts was fully conscious at all times and declared a snow emergency in Warren Wednesday.

He has been in steady contact with department heads and his office during his hospital stay. In a week, he will undergo a CAT-scan and meet with doctors to determine if the bleeding has decreased or increased.
