Warren, MI – The annual Police Memorial will be held Friday, May 10 at 10 a.m. at Warren city hall. Warren Mayor Jim Fouts says the memorial ceremony honors “those fallen officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice. They should have our highest admiration – and their families should have our deepest understanding.”
“When an officer leaves his or her home for work, his or her family does not know if he or she will return,” says Fouts.
Fouts says more than 19,000 police officers have been killed in the line of duty throughout our nation’s history dating back to 1791.
