City of Warren All Veterans Memorial
The All Veterans Memorial is located in Veterans Memorial Park on Martin between Hoover and Van Dyke.
The City of Warren Veterans Memorial Fund Committee (VMFC) was established by the Warren City Council in 1998. While the VMFC has completed its initial goal of constructing a lasting memorial for all the men and women who have served honorably in the United States armed forces, it is still looking for support from all veterans and veteran organizations in Macomb County, residents and businesses.
The memorial is comprised of a 5,000 square foot plaza, three war memorials, 16 dedicated park benches, more then 450 engraved memorial bricks (with over 3,000 still available for sponsorship), a limestone and fieldstone memorial wall, three flag poles and beautiful landscaping. Those wishing to pay tribute to their friends, family members, and fallen comrades can do so in private within a wonderful open setting.
Careful planning and landscaping led to wonderful a design that allows visitors a peaceful experience at the All Veterans Memorial. Seen here are some of the 16 dedicated benches purchased to memorialize fallen loved ones.veterans-memorial-1
The Stars and Stripes are raised during the dedication ceremony for the All Veterans Memorial in 2005. Individuals can still honor their loved ones from Warren who served in the military by ordering a brick paver or bench in their memory
Veteran organizations who wish to sponsor memorial programs can do so free of charge by calling the Mayor’s Office at (586) 574-4520.
