Building Authority
The Building Authority consists of three members, serving a three year term. The Mayor appoints one member, City Council appoints one member, and the Mayor and City Council jointly appoint one member. The Building Authority is incorporated for the purpose of acquiring, furnishing, equipping, owning, improving, enlarging, operating and maintaining a building or buildings, automobile parking lots or structures, and the necessary site or sites therefore, together with the appurtenant properties and facilities necessary or convenient for the effective use thereof; for use for any legitimate public purpose of the City; and for all other purposes now or hereafter permitted under the Building Authorities Act or any successor statute. Its powers include: contract with the City; acquire property; issue bonds; as well as other powers as described by law.
All regularly scheduled meetings of the City of Warren Building Authority are held at 4 p.m., unless otherwise specified. Meetings of the Building Authority are held in the City of Warren’s Community Center Conference Room A, by the auditorium, 5460 Arden, Warren, Michigan.
