Deputy City Assessor

The City of Warren is accepting applications for the position of Deputy City Assessor. An employee in this position will assist in planning, coordinating and directing the assessment office with all classes, including the appraisal/assessments of real and personal property.

Requirements:

• Michigan Advanced Assessing Officer (MAAO) professional designation from the Michigan State Tax Commission.
• Experience conducting investigations and making reports.
• Possession of a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Michigan.
• Driving record must meet city’s standards for insurability.
• A minimum of five (5) years experience in Commercial appraisals.

And one of the following:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Finance Administration or a related field of study with (10) ten years of experience with the appraisal of real and/or personal property.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in any field of study with fifteen (15) years of experience with the appraisal of real and/or personal property.

Pay rate: $93,813/year – $109,141/year (AFTER 3 YEARS)
